Motorists in Bexleyheath are being warned about road closures in the latest round of roadworks in the town centre.

From November 13, Albion Road will be closed for five nights between Townley Road and Gravel Hill from 7pm until about 3am.

The council said this is so the roundabout at Highland Road and the section of the road by the Broadway Square car park can be surfaced.

Diversions will be in place taking traffic away from Albion Road and along Broadway and Arnsberg Way. Traffic on Highland Road will also be diverted.

Access to the shopping centre car park will be allowed from Townley Road for late-night shopping on Thursday.

Access to the residential areas of Pincott Road, Warren Close and Victoria Road will be from Townley Road roundabout and using the opening in the central median at Pincott Road, near the magistrates' court.

Exit from the area will be via Victoria Road onto Townley Road roundabout as usual but it will not be possible to make a U-turn at the roundabout and return along Albion Road to reach Gravel Hill.
