Ray Wilkins believes Crystal Palace are too good to go down.

The Eagles are bottom of the Premier League and six points from safety after 11 games.

But the former Chelsea and Aston Villa assistant manager thinks results will improve under Roy Hodgson.

Palace were unlucky to lose to Tottenham on Sunday after being wasteful in front of goal.

Wilkins said: “They had some huge chances, particularly Wilfried Zaha's in the second-half.

“They're lacking a bit of confidence, but I think Roy Hodgson has got them far more organised than they were.

“They're going to pick up some points, and I think that squad is far too good to go down. But at the moment they're not winning.”
