Greenwich has been voted the friendliest place to live in London by people buying homes in the capital.
The online survey, run by Vivo Property Buyers, asked questions ranging from how often people speak to their neighbours, whether they supported local trade, and how safe they felt in their area.
The borough of Greenwich scored highly across the board, beating off competition from fellow friendly boroughs Barking, Merton and Croydon.
One of the most remarkable stats was 80 per cent of Greenwich residents have socialised with neighbours in the past year compared to the London average of 59 per cent
Jantiene Sobry, from Vivo Property Buyers, said: “We were inspired to carry out this survey to test the theory that London isn’t a friendly place to live, and we're really happy that the stereotype has been proved wrong.
“It’s great to see so many boroughs scoring so highly, but Greenwich is a deserved winner. It’s not just a beautiful area to live, but full of equally lovely people that care about their community and neighbours alike.
“Overall, London is full of close-knit communities that really care about their own patch – maybe this will inspire more conversations on the tube.”
