The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be returning to London next year for its 10th event in the English capital.

Tickets for the Fight Night on March 17 go on sale February 2 for The O2 and will mark the organisation’s 10th live event in London.

The UFC first arrived in London in 2002 when it hosted an event which firmly placed the sport of MMA on the map of British fans.

Since then, a further eight events have been held in the city with more than 120,000 fans coming to watch some of the world’s greatest fighters.

UFC senior vice president, international and content, David Shaw said: “London is always a landmark event for UFC; the fights, fans and city itself always deliver.”

London has hosted some memorable moments in UFC history, including Carlos Condit’s knockout of Dan Hardy; Michael Bisping’s stunning defeat of legendary Anderson “The Spider” Silva and local hero Brad “One Punch” Pickett’s emotional farewell.

Mr Shaw went on to say: “To see how the organisation has grown from the first event at The Albert Hall in 2002 is incredible.”

Last time UFC was in London the tickets sold out in just 27 minutes and was watched by thousands of people across the world.
