The number of traffic and parking offences in London boroughs has increased by 10 per cent in the last year.
Statistics for penalty charge notices (PCNs) handed out by boroughs and Transport for London has been released by councils.
Cllr Julian Bell, Chair of London Councils’ Transport and Environment Committee, said: “It is disappointing that there has been a 10 per cent increase in the number of recorded parking and traffic contraventions in London this year.
"We will continue to monitor this to help boroughs address the underlying causes, which could lead to local or London-wide campaigns and measures to improve understanding and compliance with these important controls."
Here are the total number of parking PCNs across South London in order of most offences:
1. Wandsworth - 133, 178
2. Croydon - 90, 638
3. Bromley - 71, 117
4. Richmond - 66, 718
5. Merton - 66, 489
6. Bexley - 51, 406
7. Lewisham - 47, 313
8. Greenwich - 38, 885
