Any trip to a B&Q involves working out how to get things back home.
Maybe its a barbecue, or a new outdoor table, that won't quite fit in your car.
Most people will think of a sensible solution to the problem. But not all people.
After visiting a B&Q in lower Belvedere a driver decided to put a large Perspex sheet through both of his rear windows.
A witness who wishes to remain anonymous said: "Imagine our amusement and disbelief, which quickly became horror and dread, as we followed behind the driver of this car, who left B&Q, lower Belvedere, with this Perspex panel sticking several feet out of both rear windows, recently.
"The road he travelled up was very narrow with cars parked on either side, and it’s a wonder he didn’t scratch any of them.
"Had he been driving closer to the kerb, he would have knocked any pedestrians over.
Surely, there should be some kind of law about this kind of lunacy on the road?"
