Something is brewing on the Kent/Surrey border that is set to delight beer lovers.

The Titsey Brewing Co, based on the Titsey Estate near Oxted, has launched its new artisan microbrewery after months of perfecting recipes.

It is producing three new craft ales.

Head brewer Craig Vroom said: “Having spent many months perfecting the taste – all in the name of research of course – we can testify that our flavoursome brews are absolutely delicious.”

Beer-lovers in the area can now look forward to trying their Gower Wolf, a best bitter at 4 per cent; Gresham Hopper, a hoppy pale ale at 3.7 per cent; and Leveson Buck, a session IPA at 3.7 per cent, which has both a cask and a keg variety.

Tapping into the British passion for craft beers, Titsey Brewing Co. showcased its range at beer festivals in Tatsfield and Beckenham, where is completely sold out.

Craig said: “Each of our beer has its own special qualities. For example, our Gower Wolf is created with hops from East Kent and has a lovely caramel, honey aroma; the Gresham has a refreshing bitterness with flavours of citrus and mango; and the Leveson Buck has the two varieties – the hand pull and the keg – both of which have been a big hit.”

The beer is already on sale at Botley Hill Farmhouse in Warlingham, The White Bear at Fickleshole and The Queens Head near Biggin Hill, where the new beers have been going down a storm.
