A Lee man who organised a violent kidnapping before dumping his victim on the side of the road has been jailed.

Craig Adisi, of Kenward Road, texted his victim to meet him outside his home in Sheerwater, Surrey, in March.

The victim got into the vehicle, which was being driven by someone who he did not know, before two men climbed in either side of him and trapped him.

Adsisi became aggressive and demanded money from the victim who was then subjected to a violent assault whilst he was being driven around.

Adisi then forced the victim to contact a family member to get money to be delivered at a location.

The victim was then eventually dumped on the A320 near Ottersahw.

DC Michael Taylor, who investigated the crime, said: “The victim has suffered a horrific and terrifying ordeal at the hands of Adisi. Although there were other people involved in kidnapping the victim, it was clear that Adisi was the main instigator and the sentence given to him reflects the severity of the crime and sends a clear message that such violent offences simply will not be tolerated.

"I would also like to reassure the Surrey public that we will do everything we can to ensure that those committing such violent attacks are found and brought to justice.”

Adisi, 31, was sentenced at Guildford Crown Court on Friday, October 13 and was found guilty of kidnap, GBH with intent, robbery and theft and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
