Police have seized a folder filled with rare and historically significant cash and they are now trying to trace its owner.
The notes were found in a home in Downham yesterday morning (October 17) by Lewisham police, who believe they may have been taken in a burglary in the last month or so.
The international cash collection includes currency from Bermuda, Mozambique, Mexico, Somalia, Ethiopia and Turkey.
There is also some historically significant money, such as an old UK £1 note and a 10,000,000 mark note from Germany in its post-World War I period of hyperinflation.
If anyone has any information, email police at IOMUnit-.PL@met.pnn.police.uk or call 101.
