Goldsmiths student and Great British Bake Off favourite Liam Charles is out of the show after a shock quarter-final elimination.
There was drama in the tent as former star baker Liam failed to impress judges Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood on Forgotten Bakes week.
Liam, 19, is currently studying drama and theatre arts at Goldsmiths Uni in New Cross.
Fans took to Twitter to express their upset over the student's elimination, with some saying they would never watch the programme again.
But Liam said: “Onwards and upwards now. It’s not the end of me, it’s just the beginning. I am coming back for Paul Hollywood’s job in a couple of years' time.”
It was a bad week for Liam, serving up raw pastry in his technical challenge then onto a melted, over-mixed mess of a showstopper.
Charles is apparently called ‘Cake Boy’ by his friends yet this was not enough to keep him in.
