The winners of the London Biggin Hill Airport photo  competition have been announced.

Steve Cullum from Meopham won the main prize with a picture of a Red Arrows display at the Festival of Flight.

The winner of the under-16s group was Summer Garner, 15, of Gravesend, who took a picture of a Royal Aircraft Factory BE.2c Replica, which was flown to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Biggin Hill Airport.

Steve and Summer have each won a flying lesson and press pass to the 2018 Festival of Flight.

Steve said: “I had a great day at Biggin Hill and saw some amazing displays, especially the Red Arrows.

“The crowd’s favourite gave another brilliant show and I was fortunate enough to be in the right place to capture a spectacular pass.”

Bethany Russell, of Biggin Hill Airport, said: “Thanks to all entrants to this year’s photo competition. As ever, the calibre was very high and we hope everybody had fun capturing these shots”.

The photographs will be displayed in The Lookout coffee shop at the airport until the New Year.
