Love Island winner Cara De La Hoyde will be in Orpington this weekend to help launch a "bling" furniture shop.

The reality TV star, 26, will be at the official launch of Treasures and Trinkets, which is opening up in the back of beauty salon Valentines, on Carlton Parade.

The business is being run by mum and daughter Denise Harding, 55, and Gemma Taylor, 30, both of Badgers Mount, Kent, who ran it on Instagram for the past when former glamour model Cara became one of their customers.

Ms Taylor said: “We're very passionate about making lovely interior design affordable for people.

“The pieces we sell are very Essex in style. It’s very bling. It’s all crushed velvet and mirrors.

“Cara is from Essex and she loves it. She got lots of mirrored bling side tables and lamps. She did a shoot for OK magazine so she wanted to do her whole flat beforehand. She got a new bed from us.”

Cara, who shot to fame after winning the 2016 series of Love Island, is pregnant with her ex-boyfriend Nathan Massey’s baby.

She'll be at the shop on Saturday, although the launch is also taking place on Sunday.

Anybody interested in attending the event should send a message through Treasures and Trinkets’ Facebook page.
