A candlelit vigil is going to be held for a "beloved son brother cousin and relative" who died after an incident in Bexleyheath.

Tunde Plumptre died on September 7 following an incident in Better Gym in Bexleyheath Broadway.

Tributes flooded in for Tunde who was described as as friendly man with a real zest for life.

Tunde, who was in his 30s, was taken to a south London hospital on September 6 after police and the ambulance service attended the gym in the early hours.

Tunde's brother, Adewuyi, is organising a candlelit vigil in his honour.

He said: "While in the process of making funeral plans for the sudden, painful and tragic passing of Tunde Plumptre, we; the family, will be having a candle light gathering to remember our beloved son, brother, cousin and relative.

"Please feel free as his friends and colleagues to join us as we remember his epic and fun life and start saying our 'see you later' to him."

The vigil will be held in the car park of Better Gym from 7pm to 8pm on Wednesday (September 27).

A Crowdfunder has been started to raise money for Tunde's family.

So far more than £2,000 has been donated towards his funeral.

A statement on the page reads: "We are raising funds to help Tunde's family with the cost of his funeral. Tunde was a well respected colleague and dear friend to all that knew him and worked with him. Tunde tragically passed away on September 7 and we hope that by raising some funds we can alleviate some of the pressures for his family at this very sad time.

"Please feel free to show your support to the family, any contribution would be greatly appreciated and will go towards giving Tunde the send off he truly deserves."

One tribute left for Tunde said: "Tunde my dear friend, God's ways, man will never understand. I pray you are in a better place buddy. May your family find comfort in memories you created. Keep giggling up there. Till we meet again."
