The leaders of far-right group Britain First have been charged with causing religiously aggravated harassment.

Paul Golding, 35, and Jadya Fansen, 31, both from Penge, have been charged by Kent Police following their arrest on May 10.

The charges relate to the distribution of leaflets in the Thanet and Canterbury areas, and the posting of online videos during a trial held at Canterbury Crown Court the same month.

The trial involved three Muslim men and a teenager who were eventually convicted of rape and jailed.

Fransen has been charged with four counts of causing religiously aggravated harassment, Golding with three counts.

Both have been bailed to appear before Medway magistrates on October 17.

Golding, a former Swanley councillor, was spotted in Crayford last Friday on the day of the Parsons Green terror attack live-blogging from outside a mosque.
