Twenty people were evacuated after fire broke out at a block of flats in Deptford.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters are at the blaze on Gosterwood Street, which started around 9.30am today (September 15).
Ducting that led from the boiler room on the ground floor to the roof of the six-floor building was completed damaged in the fire, as was a small part of the roof.
The fire took over 90 minutes to get under control as crews from Deptford, New Cross and Greenwich stations tackled the burning flats.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
