Staff from Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford will take on a massive cycling challenge to raise money for a cancer charity.

The group, made up of 35 riders, are aiming to raise £50,000 through Ride4Life to support Cancer Fighting Fund.

Hospital staff and members of the public will be taking on the 250 mile cycle to Paris along with the hospital's chief executive Susan Acott.

Sally George, head of fundraising at the hospital has organised the trip.

She said: “Everyone has been working really hard with their fundraising and training, and there is a real buzz of excitement as it is getting so close. I’m sure there will be tough moments, but it will all be worth it when the Eiffel Tower is in sight!”

The team will take on the challenge on September 20 setting off from the hospital towards Paris.
