An Orpington dancer, whose life was tragically cut short, is being celebrated on the fifth anniversary of his death.

Matt Beadle was a professional dancer who appeared in shows like 'We Will Rock You' and on 'Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.'

The 32-year-old was healthy and fit but on September 10, 2012, he died of an undiagnosed heart condition whilst in America.

Family and friends of Mr Beadle will get together for an evening of remembrance and entertainment called ‘Cirque D’Amour’ on Sunday September 10.

The event will take place at My Arial Home in Bell Green Retail Park, Sydenham from 6pm.

Tickets cost £20. All money raised through ticket sales will go to charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).

The charity helps families who have lost a young person to sudden heart failure. It all conducts research and has so far discovered that 12 to 15 people under 35 die in this way each week.

The event has been organised by Mr Beadle’s girlfriend Jess Antelope Hill, who is also a dancer. Mr Beadle’s family are keen for those who knew him to attend.

Mr Beadle’s mother Lynne Beadle, 64, of Dawson avenue, Orpington said: “It’s been a long, hard five years since we lost him and we don’t want other people to suffer like we have.

“So, we are trying to get all youngsters tested and we will support CRY (cardiac risk in the young) in every way we can to raise awareness.

“The first two years were horrendous. We now have learnt to live a different life without him. But we miss him every single day. You don’t bury children and get over it.

“The cruel irony is that his body was a temple. He could have been tested and maybe that would have saved him.

“Matt was a very special, loving person who touched the hearts of so many people. He was always fun loving, caring and there were over 400 people at his funeral.

“He was such a wonderful son. He just radiated love and happiness and he was always smiling. He also had a wicked sense of humour and used to get up to a few naughty bits and pieces but all in fun!

“We are so proud of Jess for organising this evening in celebration of his life.”

“I want to say a big thank you to Jess for all her hard work,” she added.
