An unexploded Second World War bomb has been found near a shopping park in Charlton.
Police were called this morning (August 23) around 8.45am to a suspected WWII ordnance in Lombard Wall, near a Sainsbury’s warehouse, across the road from Greenwich Shopping Park.
Cordons and road closures were set up while specialist officers attended the scene and assessed the device.
Met Police say the ordnance was removed and made safe.
