A beer and cider festival is coming to Hayes this weekend.

The Warman Trust Beer & Cider festival is being held from noon on Sunday, August 27 at the Warman Sports Club on Barnett Wood Road, Hayes.

The festival will feature 20 guest ales, five ciders, a Pimms & prosecco tent, a hog roast/BBQ and bouncy castles. It is being run by the Warman Sports Trust.

There will also be a T10 Cricket Competition taking place to keep sport fans interested.

Spokesman for the Warman Trust, Ben Bromage, said: “As with any sports club we like a drink and a good time which is very much on the agenda!

“But there will also be bouncy castles for the kids and so there is something for everybody.

“Dare I say even the weather is looking ok at the moment!

“Sunshine, beers, cricket what’s not to like? So, round up family and friends and come join the fun.”

The Warman’s Trust are running the festival and cricket match to raise funds to upgrade their club and facilities.

The Sports Trust was set up in 1956 when a solicitor and member of Catford Bridge Rugby Football Club paid off a loan for the land on Barnet Wood Road Hayes.

He set up the club so the Catford Bridge RFC, Hayes Cricket Club and Hayes Tennis Club could all benefit from the land.

Drinks will be paid for by a token system. Anybody who wants to buy drinks tokens should visit the festival’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WarmanBeerFestival.
