Millwall defender Shaun Hutchinson says the time will come when they start putting away their chances.

The Lions won 16 corners in their goalless draw to Bristol City at Ashton Gate, with 11 coming in the first half, but failed to score from their set-piece opportunities.

Harris’ men had more shot attempts for the fourth consecutive league game, and for the third time had nearly three times as many as the opposition.

However, Hutchinson remains confident that things will change soon.

He told News Shopper: “I think we have had the most chances in all four games and if you’re doing that away from home then it’s definitely a positive.

“You never know, on Saturday [against Norwich City] we might go and have one chance, one goal and win 1-0. That’s just the way it goes.

“But we’re all very confident in every single player as a group that our fortunes will chance and we’ll end up putting many goals past a lot of teams.”

When ask whether he was surprised how well the Lions have acclimatised to the Championship promotion, he added: “Don’t get me wrong, I think if we had more points but played terribly then I’d prefer that.

“To be honest, I think after the last four games we could easily be on 12 points, and I also think that we’ve been the best team in the last four games.

“That’s not just me being biased because I’m a Millwall player, I do believe that.”

Nevertheless, he remains happy with how the team has performed so far.

He said: “Going by the first four games of the season, I think we’ve been absolutely outstanding and definitely showed that we’re going to compete.

“Even the teams coming up against us know that this is not going to be an easy game, it’s going to be a tough, tough game. If they’re not at their best then we would obviously get the win.

“I think we’ve even upped our game from League One last season and playing even better again and gone up a level.”
