A Lewisham police officer has been sacked for common assault while on a final written warning for dangerous driving.
PC James Hextall sat a special case hearing on May 12 following a police caution for common assault.
Hextall was already on a final warning for driving a Met Police car dangerously in 2015.
The misconduct hearing panel considered the evidence and the mitigation provided by the officer and determined a case of gross misconduct to be proven.
The officer was dismissed with 28 days' notice.
Chief Inspector Tracey Stephenson, of the MPS directorate of professional standards, said: "PC Hextall had admitted guilt in accepting his criminal caution. Coupled with his driving misconduct he has proven to have lacked judgement and self-control on multiple occasions.
"The British model of policing is based upon the public having trust and confidence in their officers, and PC Hextall's action has fallen far short of this."
