He handed himself in to police
A suspect wanted for allegedly stealing a 90-year-old woman's purse in Erith has handed himself in to police.
Bexley police released CCTV yesterday of a man appearing to steal the elderly woman's purse at Riverside Shopping Centre.
Police said there was a lot of money in the purse and the alleged thief made no effort to alert the lady who was still nearby.
Footage of the incident released by police had been shared online hundreds of times.
The suspect handed himself in to police yesterday and has since been arrested.
