Get ready for some jammin’ when a nine-day celebration of Jamaica’s music, culture and achievements arrives at The O2 next month.

Jamaica House 2017 at Indigo takes places from August 5 to 13 during the athletics world championships when Usain Bolt will be running his final races,

Hosted by music company Robomagic on behalf of the Jamaican Ministry of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, the event will showcase the Caribbean nation’s way of life and the accomplishments of its people.

Music will feature heavily, with Jamaican artists, UK performers of Jamaican descent and acts from elsewhere who are influenced by Jamaican music all on the bill.

Musicians will include Freddie McGregor, Ziggy Marley, Luciano, OMI, Nesbeth, Protoje, Krishane, Stylo G, The Skints, Nadia Rose, Yungen and Melissa Steel.

The athletics will be screened live at the event, with plenty of food and drink to enjoy including jerk chicken, patties, rum cocktails and beer.
