Police have released CCTV images of a man wanted in connection to an exposure incident on board a train to Charlton.

At approximately 5pm on Thursday, 4 April, a woman in her early 20s boarded a train at Erith station heading towards Charlton.

The woman sat in a seat on the service and a man, who also boarded at Erith, sat opposite her.

As the train progressed towards Charlton, a man allegedly began to touch himself inappropriately before exposing himself.

The British Transport Police are appealing to the public for any information about him.

DC Martin Chapman, the investigating officer, said: “Since the incident happened, we have examined a number of lines of enquiry.

“However, we are now seeking the public’s help in identifying a man we wish to speak with in connection.

“If you know who he is then I would urge you to contact us as soon as possible,” he added.

“No one should ever be subjected to unwanted sexual advances such as this and I am pleased that the victim in this case reported this man’s behaviour to us as every report helps to build a picture of the perpetrator.

“I hope that we are now able to identify a suspect and bring them before the courts.”
