Police are hunting for a group of teenagers after a racist attack on a woman with learning difficulties in a Bromley rail station.

The woman in her 30s was in McDonald's on Bromley High Street on May 31 when a teenage girl and a young boy riding on a scooter laughed at her through the door.

The woman then headed to Bromley North station at around 7.20pm where a gang of three girls joined the original pair.

The group started hurling racist abuse at the woman and then one of them poured a drink over the victim.

The youngsters then all left the station and police were called to the scene.

Investigating officer, Det Con Vanessa Cadrecha, said: “This woman was verbally abused with racist language and then physically assaulted in a completely unprovoked attack.

“At British Transport Police we do not tolerate hate crime or any level of violence, and everyone should be free to use the railway network without fear of intimidation or abuse.

“I would like to speak to anyone who has any information about this incident or can help to identify the offenders.”

The first offender who poured the drink on the victim is described as white, around 16 years old, with long dark hair and medium build. She was wearing a pink short-sleeved top, grey or light brown tracksuit bottoms with a white stipe on each side and trainers. She was carrying a bag and jacket.

The boy who was with the first offender is described as white, around 10 or 12 years old, with short brown hair. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt with the logo HYPE in white writing on the front, dark trousers and a dark backpack. He was riding a white scooter.

Of the three girls who joined at the station, the first offender is a mixed race female with long dark curly hair, aged between 16 and 19 years old, of slim build.

She wearing blue jeans, black and white trainers, a beige mac coat and carried a black handbag over her shoulder.

The second suspect is a mixed race female, aged 16 to 19, slim build, with long dark hair. She was wearing sunglasses on her head, a stripy short sleeved top, blue jeans and black and white shoes.

The third suspect is a mixed race Asian woman, aged 16 to 19 years old, of slim build. She was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, white trainers, with long dark hair and was carrying a black handbag over her left shoulder.
