A café has been opened by volunteers in Thamesmead aiming to keep prices ‘as low as possible.’
The Community Café, opened in Broadwater village hall on Goosander Way, is open every Tuesday from 2 until 5pm.
Staffed by volunteers organised by Revds. Sally and Andrew Willett, the aim is to just ‘break even’, so the prices are being kept as low as they can.
The café was opened by Rev. Patrick Eggleston, team rector of Thamesmead Ecumenical Parish, councillor Don Austin and some of the team from the West Thamesmead Community Church.
