A country singer from Erith has been nominated for another award for his song inspired by Donald Trump.

Wayne Jacobs, of Riverdale Road, has been nominated for three awards including UK Country Artist of the Year at 2017 UK Country Music Awards.

Mr Jacobs was also nominated for the Male Country Artist of the Year award.

The singer said: “I like to say a big thank you to all my amazing fans and to all of listeners on UkCountryRadio.com for voting for me you guys are so awesome.

“I'm on cloud nine about being a nominated for a finalist for the last 7 years and winning the Listeners Club Music Awards for the last Five Years you have made all my dreams come true.”

Mr Jacob’s song, ‘Stars and Stripes of Freedom’, has been nominated for the UkCountryRadio.com’s Listeners Club Song award.

The tune has also been nominated for an award in the States.

The award ceremony is in September.
