A two-metre deep hole in a Chislehurst road is continuing to cause traffic chaos.
The hole in Summer Hill was caused by running water and Thames Water engineers are onsite to assess the repairs needed.
The void was originally believed to be one-metre deep but Bromley Council said excavation work has shown it is double that.
Road closures are in place at the junction with Oakleigh Park Avenue Gardens, with the diversion from Bromley starting at Bickley Park Road, taking drivers through Petts Wood and along the Orpington Road towards Chislehurst.
Drivers travelling towards Bromley on A222 will be diverted towards Petts Wood, with the diversion route ending at Bickley Park Road.
