A ‘beach’ that is set to reopen on the site of a former splash park has had a visit from Bexley school children.
The Belvedere Beach project is on track to open next month in Woolwich Road and will be open all year round.
A spokesman for Bexley Council said it will offer an inclusive equipment including sensory and educational play areas.
Pupils from the school parliament of St Augustine of Canterbury CofE Primary School visited the site to see the new playground taking shape.
Councillor Peter Craske, Bexley’s cabinet member for Community Safety, Environment and Leisure said: "It has been great to welcome pupils and staff from St Augustine’s for an exclusive look at the new playground.
“This is going to be a great facility, where families and friends can have fun on the beach every day."
A grand opening is set for later in the summer.
