More than £50,000 worth of industrial batteries have been stolen from various locations across north and west Kent.

The batteries, which belonged to Vodafone and Ericsson, were all stored securely inside cabins which were broken into in order to steal the batteries.

One example was on June 16 police received reports that a mobile mast site in Wested Lane in Swanley was broken into at 3am and the batteries were stolen.

More batteries belonging to the telecommunications giants were reported stolen over the next three days from a farm in Mussenden Lane in Fawkham.

On each occasion, the batteries would go missing, reported stolen in the middle of the night, between 8pm and 3am the next day.

Police have also received reports that between midnight on June 19 and 3am on June 20, batteries were stolen from a cabin in Darenth Road, South Darenth.

Locations at a car park in Fawkham, a street in Longfield and a cabin in Dunton Green were also reported hit by this rogue nightly battery robber.
