The company behind the Paramount Entertainment Resort in Swanscombe has agreed a deal to operate huge hotels on the site.

London Resort Company Holdings has announced a deal with InterContinental Hotels Group to operate 4,000 rooms across a hotels that will be a part of the much-anticipated resort in North Kent.

IHG already own well-known brands including Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza.

The latest plans for the entertainment resort will go on public display in autumn , before a development consent order is submitted to the Secretary of State.

The proposed entertainment resort is planned to open in 2022.

Humphrey Percy, cheif executive of LRCH, said the agreement with IHG is a "key piece in our jigsaw puzzle of infrastructure operations which sets an important standard for the resort".

He said: “This arrangement is a further example of our commitment to creating a truly global destination and entertainment resort in, and for, the UK.”

London Paramount Resort will boast more than 50 rides, a night club and a 2,000-seat theatre.

It is estimated that the 872-acre-park will bring up to 40,000 visitors a day. London Paramount will employ around 27,000 people.
