Deptford artists have welcomed proposals for an art installation under Deptford railway bridge.
Lewisham Council announced the plans earlier this month as part of a bid to regenerate the north end of the high street.
The designs are the work of local artist Peter Freeman, a former Goldsmiths student.
The public are able to vote on the final design up until June 26.
Proposed names for the installation are ‘Rainbow Bridge’, ‘Birthday Bridge’ and ‘The Light Loves you Deptford.’
Director of Art Hub Studios Deborah Morris-Thomas, 51, said a number of artists who used her studios felt positive about the proposals.
Ms Morris-Thomas said: "I think it is a great idea. It adds a bit of light down that end of the high street.
"Lewisham council are trying really hard to promote the arts and make more spaces available."
The plans are still subject to planning consents.
