Hundreds of people descended on Woolwich to pay their respects to Fusilier Lee Rigby on the fourth anniversary of his death.

Bikers flocked to pay tribute, a plaque was glued to the pavement, and roses and even a can of beer was left at the spot where Lee, 25, was murdered by extremists in 2013.

The site, which has been targeted by vandals twice this year, was adorned with flags and posters in memory of the young soldier.

The memorial decorations were ripped down last week prompting a police presence on the streets of Woolwich to reassure the community.
