A woman who has never met her sister is appealing for help from the public so they can finally meet.
Sharon Carr, of Lydd in Kent, was put into care when she was one and a half, along with her four brothers. Her mother was pregnant at the time and when the baby was born, a private adoption took place.
In a Facebook post, Sharon said: “Please help! Could anyone help me look for my sister?
“A private adoption believed to have taken place in a hospital, possibly St Thomas’ Hospital.
“The little girl was born between 1978 and 1980 and may well have the name Margaret but it could have been changed.
“A police officer and his wife did the adoption and are believed to be living in Orpington.”
Sharon, 39, met her birth mother in 2015 because she “wanted to close that chapter” in her life.
She said: “I just wanted some answers.”
Unfortunately, Sharon’s biological mother was vague about the details so she does not have much to go on.
She said: “I really want to meet my sister.”
