There is queueing traffic on the A2 following a four vehicle crash involving a van near the Darenth Interchange.
Debris on the road has spread into all three lanes at the interchange.
The accident happened before the M25 Junction 2, coastbound.
Highways England tweeted: "A2 Eastbound closed within M25 J2 at Darenth due to a 4 vehicle collision, @HighwaysSEAST and @kentpoliceroads on scene. Pls approach with care."
There are severe queues and lane closures, with the road expected to clear at 8am.

The are also delays on the west bound road.
A broken down lorry on the a link road is causing delays.
The road, at junction 2 of the M25, is closed and Highways England are at the scene.
Update: Lanes re-opened eastbound but there are still some queues. Traffic remains on M25 sliproad westbound.
