A total of thirteen arrests for allegations including attempted murder and intent to supply cocaine have been made after a man was shot in Darenth.

A helicopter and armed police attended the scene in Hill Rise after a 26-year-old man from Erith was shot on Monday, April 24.

Four men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder alongside another nine arrests.

The man who was shot and another 30-year-old man were both arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm with intent.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “On Thursday, April 27, a 20-year-old man from Plumstead was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent. He was released on bail until May 17 pending further enquiries.

“Four people were arrested on Friday, 28 April.  A 54-year-old man and a 52-year-old man, both from Dartford were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and were released on bail until 17 May.”

A man from Folkestone was arrested in connection with the shooting but he has been released without charge and is no longer being linked to the incident.

The spokesman said: “A 27-year-old woman from Dartford and a 53-year-old woman from Dartford were both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply cannabis and possessing a prohibited weapon, noxious gas. They were both released pending further enquiries.”

On April 29 another two 25-year-old men from Dartford were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. One of them was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
They have been released on police bail until May 19.

Officers are hunting for a gold-coloured car that may have been seen driving in the Hill Rise area between 6.30pm and 7.30pm on April 24.
