A man who was arrested in Kent in connection to the murder of Jordan Wright in Blackheath has been released under investigation.

The 19-year-old man was arrested yesterday, April 26, on suspicion of murder.

A £10,000 reward has been offered to anyone who has information on Jordan’s murder. He was fatally stabbed on April 19.

The reward is available to anyone who can provide information to independent charity Crimestoppers information that leads to the murderer’s arrest and conviction.

Police and ambulance services were called just past 8pm to reports of a stabbing in Hervey Road.

Jordan, from Catford, had just graduated and was due to start an apprenticeship in the construction industry on April 24.

He was taken to a south London hospital where he later died.

Detectives believe Jordan had arranged to meet with a group of people and was then stabbed.

Detective Chief Inspector Diane Tudway said: “This murder has left Jordan's family devastated and has been a big shock to the local community.

“Jordan was preparing to go on a family holiday - now his parents are planning his funeral.

“If you were part of that group, tell us what you saw. If you know who was part of that group when Jordan was stabbed, please contact police or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously.”
