CCTV has been released of a man allegedly stealing a £300 bicycle from a 12-year-old in McDonald’s in Welling.
Bexley police said the boy had ridden to McDonald's in Bellegrove Road, Welling at around 3pm on Friday, March 17.
He had gone there with his friend to get some food when a man approached him.
The suspect is reported to have claimed the bike belonged to his friend, scaring the 12-year-old into letting go of the bike.
The bike is described as an orange, black and white Carrea Voular worth about £300.
Despite members of the public trying to stop the suspect, he eventually rode off on the bike.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
