Three men have been arrested following a reports of a two shootings, one that happened in Dartford last night.

Armed police and a helicopter investigated the area in Hill Rise, Darenth following reports of gunshots at around 7pm on last night, April 24.

A police spokesman said: “Enquiries revealed that a 26-year-old man from Erith was found to have sustained a gunshot wound and had made his own way to hospital.

“He has since been discharged from hospital and was arrested in connection with the incident this morning.”

Officers believe that those involved are known to each other.

Police arrested a 30-year-old man from Erith at 5.15am on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent. Both men currently remain in custody.

Another report of gunfire was received at 8.23am on this morning of a Folkestone man with a gunshot wound to his leg who was taken to a local hospital.

The 20-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent.

Police are making enquiries to establish whether this may be linked to last night’s shooting in Darenth.
