A drug dealer who was supplying crack cocaine in Greenwich has been jailed.

Oliver Bradford, 23, of Mandeville Close, was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court yesterday to two years and four months' imprisonment for possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and possessing criminal property.

He pleaded guilty at the same court on March 16

At about 5am on February 15 the Greenwich Gangs unit, supported by the Met's Territorial Support Group, executed a search warrant at an address in Mandeville Close.

Bradford was inside the address. He was detained and searched and officers found 72 wraps of crack cocaine in his pocket, which have a street value of about £970. He also had £384.81.

He was arrested and taken to a south London police station for questioning, where he said the drugs were for 'personal use' and the money was acquired through gambling.

Bradford was charged on the same day with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug and possessing criminal property.

He was convicted and sentenced as above.

DC Andrew Payne, the investigating officer from Greenwich's Gangs Unit, said: "The sentence imposed should act as deterrent to those who engage in the distribution of Class A drugs within the borough of Greenwich.

"Class A drugs cause misery to the community, they fuel anti-social behaviour and drive violence. We will always be robust in our approach to combating this activity."
