The Greenwich ‘TubePerve’ who filmed upskirt shots of over 100 women over a 13 year period on the London Underground has been spared jail.

Simon Lucy, 61, of Blackheath Road in Greenwich, would travel on the Underground and DLR train and filmed up women’s skirts without their consent.

The upskirt footage was then uploaded online under the username ‘TUBEPERVE’

He discussed the content with other users in online comments posted beneath each film, some of which identified the women as they showed their faces.

He did this between November 2003 and June 2016 until he was finally arrested on July 13, 2016.

Lucy was ultimately spared jail when he appeared for sentencing at Blackfriars Crown Court on March 21.

He was handed a 16 month prison sentence, but it has been suspended for 24 months.

Lucy was also handed a sexual harm prevention order which prohibits him from sitting next to any lone women he does not know and from being in possession of a camera or camera phone.

Detective Constable Allan McTaggart, investigating officer, said: “After 13 years of offending, Lucy has been convicted and sentenced for his crimes.

“The Sexual Harm Prevention Order means he cannot be in possession of a device capable of capturing still or moving images or a device capable of accessing the internet unless he makes the devices available to police for inspection.

“He is not allowed to enter any railway station unless he is there to travel, with a valid ticket or pass registered to his name, and he must not sit immediately next to or opposite any lone female unknown to him.

“I hope this case shows how seriously BTP treats crimes of this nature and how we regularly review historical crimes and will bring offenders to justice no matter the timescales involved.”
