There was a fire at a restaurant and block of flats in Crofton Park.

Four fire engines and 20 firefighters dealt with the blaze in Brockley Road.

No one was injured in the fire, but part of the ground floor restaurant and part of a communal staircase between the building’s first and second floors was damaged.

London Fire Brigade was called at 10.56am and the fire was under control at 11.50am.

Crews from New Cross, Lewisham, Forest Hill and Sidcup fire stations attended the incident. 

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
