An inquest into the death of 16-year-old Jack Morrisson has concluded that the cause of death was accidental.
The teen's body was recovered from a fishing lake at Sutton-on-Hone on December 17.
He was reported as missing the previous day after he had gone to the lake for his "one true love", fishing.
The Coroner's Court at the Archbishop's Palace in Maidstone concluded today, February 15, there was nothing suspicious about the death.
Jack had been a member of the DDAPS (Dartford and District Angling and Preservation Society) since 2008 when he was eight years old.
He was a student at Longfield Academy and played football for Volenti Football Academy.
A JustGiving page to fund his funeral shot past its targeted goal of £7,000 to hit £18,000 with 667 different people donating to the cause.
His family had thanked people for their support, including the DDAPS, Kent Search and Rescue volunteers, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the police.
His family wrote: "Jack, you were like a beautiful angel that we were sent. We have been so lucky to have you and you were amazing.
"You have brought so much joy to us and we feel so blessed to have had you."
