A returning face on the News Shopper’s Wanted Wednesday has caught and jailed thanks to her media appearances.

Alana Enderson, a 30-year-old prolific shoplifter from Abbey Wood, had her image first released by police on November 25, 2016.

Her first mugshot appearance on the Wanted Wednesday feature was on December 22, with a second appearance on January 11.

Police say that it was thanks to her image appearing on social media that she was able to be caught.

Following the release of her image, a number of anonymous reports were received by Crimestoppers and passed onto Bexley police.

Enderson was arrested on January 16 and appeared at Bexley Magistrates via video link the following day where she pleaded guilty to all offences presented to her.

She was convicted of four counts of shoplifting from various stores in Bexleyheath and Crayford and sentences to a total of 12 weeks imprisonment.

Bexley Police say they would like to thank the public for their assistance and support with identifying this offender.
