A free fitness event will take place this month to teach young people about training and getting fit without the cost of a gym.
Fitness to the Streets, which will be held at Glyndon Community Centre on Saturday January 21, will include free seminars on how to get fit and stay healthy and fitness classes that incorporate Confuse the Body.
Confuse the Body, created by fitness and health motivator Obed Adofo, is a fitness formula that “allows people to live a healthy lifestyle and stay fit”.
Mr Adofo, 25, of Woolwich, created the fitness regime in 2015 said it “teaches people how to be physically and mentally strong, which allows you to be the best version of yourself”.
Obed believes young people in the area feel neglected and that there is a lack of facilities for them to train in and get fit, adding gyms can be too expensive for a lot of people.
He said: “I created Confuse the Body as I noticed there weren’t many positive role models in my area.
“I really wanted to help and inspire my community.”
The event will take place on January 21 at 2pm to 3.30pm, SE18 7LB.
