I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all our loyal readers and valued advertisers a very happy Christmas.
Here’s hoping you enjoy a fantastic festive break and an even better start to the new year.
Looking back on 2016, no-one can deny it has been an incredibly eventful 12 months.
I certainly can’t remember a year when we’ve faced more changes or downright remarkable events, both at home and abroad.
Given everything going on in the world today, I definitely don’t plan to start making predictions for 2017, save to say I have a feeling it could be every bit as eventful as the year which precedes it.
This is a time for family and friends and I hope you all have the chance to spend time with loved ones you might not have found time for during a busy year.
And, if you are blessed to be around those you’re closest to, if at all possible please do spare a thought for those less lucky who might find themselves alone during the holidays.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has shown our newspapers and websites such wonderful support in 2016 – here’s to an even better 2017.
Happy Christmas.
