A POLISH immigrant who strangled a mother to death in front of her baby son is set to be kicked out of the UK after serving a life sentence.
It was said Wojciech Ciesla, aged 49, sneaked into the home of 32-year-old Juline Chambers, on August 5, 2005, looking for food and cash for alcohol after being made homeless.
The car washer pushed Ms Chambers' face into the mattress and throttled her in her bedsit in Ancona Road, Plumstead.
Her 15-month-old son Dejaughn Johnson was found whimpering in his cot with a blanket pulled over his head when Ms Chambers' body was found by neighbours two days later.
Ciesla claimed he had no memory of the incident but an Old Bailey jury convicted him of murder after deliberating for three days.
He was also convicted of burgling two nearby homes before and after the killing.
Ciesla was cleared of assaulting Dejaughn, who was discovered with handprints on his face and finger marks scratched into his skin.
He was also acquitted of burgling Ms Chamber's bedsit.
Judge Clement Goldstone QC ordered reports and adjourned sentencing until July 13.
But the judge today warned Ciesla he will face many years behind bars and also asked the prosecution to serve deportation papers.
