A Wandsworth police officer has been sacked after falling foul of the law – and his Met colleagues – in Wimbledon.

PC Mark Touslon, 35, based in Wandsworth borough, got into trouble while off-duty on November 27, 2014.

It was alleged he had been drinking with a friend in Wimbledon and used threatening, abusive and insulting behaviour, assaulted a police officer and obstructed and resisted officers in their duty.

The following month he denied three charges when he appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court but pleaded guilty to one allegation of obstructing/resisting a constable.

In July last year he was back in court and was fined £443, while the Crown Prosecution Service offered no evidence on the remaining charges.

Touslon has now been dismissed from the Met following a three-day misconduct hearing.

He faced allegations that his conduct breached professional standards and the panel deemed it serious enough to fire him without notice.
