Two men were rescued after fire broke out at flats in Erith.
London Fire Brigade sent two engines to South Road just before 9.50pm on Friday.
Two men were led to safety by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, while another two men and a woman had escaped before firefighters arrived.
Part of the ground floor of the terraced house converted into flats was damaged by the fire which was under control at 10.50pm.
Fire crews from Erith and Bexley stations attended.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
