A Greenwich police officer has been sacked after driving while more than three times over the alcohol limit.
PC Louise Wilson was pulled over in Tonbridge Road, Hildenborough, in July while she was off-duty.
After pleading guilty to drink-driving on August 2 at Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court, she was disqualified from driving for 24 months and given a rehabilitation order for 20 hours.
Wilson, 36, from Hildenborough, has now been dismissed from the Met following a misconduct hearing.
It was found she “failed to meet the required standards of professional behaviour in respect of discreditable conduct”.
Assistant Commissioner Helen King said: "Whilst I have sympathy with the officer and the impact this case has had on her, it is right that the police are expected to uphold the law.
"In this case PC Wilson's actions could have had very serious consequences for other road users.
“The appropriate sanction in this case, having considered all the documents and explanation provided to me, is that the officer should be dismissed without notice."
